Governor Hogan has proclaimed May 9th as Maryland State Employees’ Recognition Day. This day highlights the dedication, hard work, commitment and professionalism of State employees. This is a day that each agency has been asked to honor the exceptional and outstanding work of State employees who make a difference for Maryland each day.
We apologize for such a late notice but, we have just been informed of this very well deserved day. Again, this is an opportunity to recognize employees in your departments. In celebration of this day we are asking that you plan at least one activity during the week of May 7, 2018 that displays your appreciation of all your employees hard work and dedication to your departments and campus. In the future, we will plan activities around recognizing our employees and their contributions to UMD.
Thank you for making UMD a great place to work. We hope you look forward to making this day an enjoyable time for employees.
