Employees, this is a reminder that if you are at risk of losing any annual or personal leave
, now is the time to obtain departmental approval to schedule leave. For calendar 2015, employees have until January 9, 2016 (end of Pay Period 14) to record any unused annual and/or personal leave on their PHR time/leave record.
Employees who are eligible to earn leave may carry a maximum of 50 days, or 400 hours, of annual leave into the next calendar year. This maximum is pro-rated for part-time employees working 50% or more. Additionally, employees are granted three personal days each calendar year which cannot be carried forward into the next calendar year. Therefore, any unused personal days will be forfeited on January 9, 2016 and contributed to the USM Leave Reserve Fund (LRF).
