The State of Maryland Prescription Benefits Plan provides comprehensive benefits with convenient and flexible delivery options for you and your family. To ensure you understand your benefits and how to make the program work best for you, please take the time to review these materials before using your prescription benefit plan.
Participating Pharmacies
If you use a pharmacy that participates in the MedImpact Healthcare Systems, Inc network, you only need to pay a copayment at the time of service. To locate a participating pharmacy, use the online Pharmacy Locator tool.
Non-Participating Pharmacy
If you use a pharmacy that’s not covered in the network, you must pay the entire cost of the medication and then submit a claim for reimbursement. Prescription Claim forms are located here and can also be requested by calling Customer Care at 844-348-8508 (TTY: 711). Out of Country Claim forms are located here.
Online Resources
The MedImpact Rx portal and mobile app help you manage your budget and health. Activate your account after January 01, 2025 at www.medimpact.com or download the MedImpact mobile app on App Store or Play Store. Once you register for an account, you will find all of the information listed above. In addition, your account will allow you to track all of your prescription information and will provide quick access to help you manage your health and medication options:
- Order new prescriptions or transfer from retail pharmacy.
- Mail order refills with Birdi
- Refill mail-order drugs or renew expired mail-order prescriptions.
- Opt in or out of Auto Refill (if applicable).
- Review estimated copay amount, last order status, and date for next refill.
- Get reminders and alerts via automated phone call, email, or text.
- View and sort your list of mail-order drugs.
- Manage account information.
- Make payments (if applicable).
- Get tax statements.
