The countdown to a new year is on. For State of Maryland employees, 2025 is a reset year for Wellness Incentives. UHR is here to explain what that means and how you can take advantage of these healthcare incentives.
Who: Benefit-eligible employees enrolled in United Healthcare, CareFirst, or Kaiser Permanente healthcare coverage for 2025.
What: Simply complete a health survey and confirm your primary care provider (PCP) and all your visits to your PCP are at no cost to you for all of 2025. You can also earn a reduction of up to $10 for specialist copays until the end of the 2026 calendar year by having one or more of the recommended screenings found in the 2025 Wellness Plan Requirements document, plus a vision screening.
When: You can complete your Wellness Incentive Activities starting January 1, 2025. Remember, the sooner you complete this, the sooner your 2025 savings begin.
Where/How: The State of Maryland 2025 Wellness Program Activities document is a great place to start. There, you will find links for each health carrier and specific instructions on how to complete your Wellness Program Activities.
