Estate Planning Services
Helping you ensure your wishes are honored.
When you enroll in Supplemental Term Life coverage, you automatically gain access to Estate Planning Services at no additional cost. These services include:
- Digital Estate Planning: Create wills and other key documents online, with access to online notary services.
- Will Preparation Services: Work directly with a MetLife Legal Plans attorney—either in person or by phone—to prepare or update your will, living will, or power of attorney. No charge when using a participating attorney.*
What These Documents Do:
- Will: Specifies who will care for your children and inherit your property.
- Living Will (Advanced Directive): Outlines your medical care preferences and appoints someone to make decisions if you're unable to communicate.
- Power of Attorney: Authorizes someone you trust to act on your behalf in case of incapacity or emergencies.
You may also choose a non-participating attorney and receive reimbursement based on a set fee schedule. Any costs beyond the reimbursement amount will be your responsibility.
Estate Resolution Services (ERS)

MetLife Estate Resolution Services (ERS) offers in-person or phone-based probate assistance for the estates of deceased employees and their spouses/domestic partners. Services include:
