Modifying an Existing Exempt Position

Log in at http://ejobs.umd.edu/hr using your Directory ID and Password and verify you are in the Position Management Module and your user Role is Creator.

  • Click Positions and select Exempt.
  • Search for the position to modify.  (Search by entering the position number)
  • Click the Position Title to access the position.
  • Verify this is the position to be changed and click Modify Exempt Position.
  • Click Start
  • To change the Position Title Scroll Down and select a new Position Title, then click Next otherwise just click Next
  • Complete the Position Description by updating all the fields. Click Next
  • Continue to complete any remaining tabs if applicable
  • Review the Action Summary for missing information.
  • Move your action forward by selecting Take Action on Action and selecting the next user role
