Creating an Hourly/GA/Pooled Position Posting
Log in at http://ejobs.umd.edu/hr using your Directory ID and Password and verify you are in Applicant Tracking and your user Role is Creator.
Nonexempt Contingent I Postings
Nonexempt Contingent I positions post on Fridays with a 2 week closing date
- Select Postings then click Hourly/GA/Pool
- Click Create New Posting
- Click Create from Position Type
- On the New Posting tab enter the Functional Title
- Verify that Accept online applications is checked then select the Accepted Application Forms:
- General Application – For all Nonexempt postings
- When done click Create New Posting
- Complete the Posting Details tab and click Next
- Continue through the tabs (i.e. Search and Selection Plan etc) by clicking Next until you reach the Supplemental Documents tab
- Attach any Supplemental Documents if applicable and click Next
- Review the summary page for missing information (will be denoted by a exclamation point) . If you are missing information, click on Edit to correct.
- Send the posting forward in the workflow by selecting Take Action on Posting, hourly postings can be sent directly to the eTerp Service Center to post
Exempt Contingent I, Faculty Hourly, Pooled Positions, and GA Postings
- Select Postings then click Hourly/GA/Pool
- Click Create New Posting
- Click Create from Position Type
- On the New Posting tab enter the Functional Title
- Verify that Accept online applications is checked then select the Accepted Application Forms:
- UMD Profile – For Exempt, Faculty, and GA postings using the Online Reference Feature
- UMD Profile – For Exempt and Faculty postings not using the Online Reference Feature
- When done click Create New Posting
- Enter Posting Details and click Next
- *Complete the Temp Appointments page only if this posting is falling under the temporary approval issued by University Equity at the beginning of each fiscal year. Click Next
- If this posting will be using a Search Committee complete the Search and Selection Plan. Click Next
- Select what Applicant Documents will be Required or Optional, click Next
- If there will be a Search Committee complete the Search Committee page. Click Next
- Indicate if this posting will be using the Online Reference feature (not the same as a list of references). See Using the On Line Reference feature for additional information on this function
- Attach any Supplemental Documents if applicable, click Next
